This week lab is solid propellant burn rate test.

solid propellant is one of the rocket 'fuel'

Since this is quite dangerous, i will not disclose the chemical that we used. :)

Step 1 : Prepare a certain amount of chemical A(Fuel)

in this case, we used 69g of fuel

Step 2 : Prepare in a separate container chemical B (oxidizer)

8g of chemical B.

Step 3 : Mix them together and use a sifter to make it as smooth as possible.




Step 4 : Prepare the epoxy which act as a binder.

the west system epoxy ratio is 5:1 which is 5 resin and 1 harderner and the curing time is about 12 hours.

Sorry for lack of update. pretty busy this week.
Test, report, presentation, quiz, tutorial, etc~

but this week lab session is so far the best of all.

we had this aeromodelling lab which was divided into three parts.

Part 1 : Remote Control and Receiver.

which we only had to connect the cable of the control surfaces of the RC plane to the receiver.


this is the RC plane that we used.

after we connect all the cable, we had to calibrate it with the remote control.

Part 2 : Engine


in this part, we just calculate the fuel consumption of the RC plane and estimate how long it will stay air borne with certain amount of fuel.

Part 3 : Aeromodelling Flight Simulator

this is by far the best lab session ever. hahaha.

Remote control. it was connected to the PC and the RC Plane so that we can see the movement of the control surfaces during flight.

We(7 people) decided to have our lunch at Kenny Rogers.

All of them wear red tshirt and only me wearing black tshirt.
*but i do bring red bag. :D

I think the waitress over there think we were out of our mind. ordering SEVEN 1/4 quater meal + SEVEN 1/4 FREE quater meal for the total of 14 freaking plates~!!

Here's the first four that arrive.(four plates for two person) hahaha

*notice that one plate have to be on my friend lap. because not enough place to put it. after that we ask the waitress add on another table. :D

ps: dont miss the chance to get free 1/4 meal for any 1/4 meal that you ordered~ you still have time.

I came across this problem when trying to add matnoq's blog to my blog list.

Could not detect a feed for this URL. Blog posts and update time will no be shown. Add URL anyway?

In order to counter this problem, i used this method. i dont know it'll work on other link or not. but for me, it works.


Step 1 : Click cancel when the notification pop up.

Step 2: Go to google reader
at the top left corner, click on add subscription & add the blog you want to read add in the list.


Step 3: Go back to your dashboard. Instead of add by URL, tick the Import subscription from google reader.

and choose the blog you just add in step 2.

Step 4: Click add.

save and you're done.

feel free to ask anything. or maybe you can try using the 2nd option which add from the blog you're following. i literally don't follow other blogs because i already subscribe them in my google reader.

ps: google reader is better to read blogs compare to go to your blog and check one by one on the links that you put on the list. just my humble opinion. :)

2009 had been a hell of a year.

breaking up a ~5 years relationship was the major things i supposed that happened last year.
